Thanks for vets

During the week of Feb. 4-11, we were honored with the presence of seven Wounded Warriors and their guests who were invited to come to Whitefish to learn to ski and enjoy the warm hospitality of the community.

This truly was a group effort, and we extend a heartfelt thank you to each and every person and business that made the Wounded Warrior visits to Whitefish such a terrific success.

They include Whitefish Mountain Resort, Dan Graves, Donnie Clapp, Bob Heim and the all the ski school instructors, Dan Endrizzi, ski volunteers, the Blantons and Café Kandahar, Whitefish Mountain Snowmobile Tours, Jeff at Dog Sled Adventures, Grouse Mountain Lodge, Whitefish VFW and Ladies Auxiliary, Loula’s Café, Montana Patriot Guard Riders, Betty Sue Kierney, Melisa Phelps, John Delaney, Talus Outdoor Technologies, Hertz Rental Car, Marco and Christine, and Scotty and the Bierstube crew.

And thank you to every individual who stopped by to thank a soldier for his service offered, silently shook a hand, wrote an article, baked cookies and treats, gave gifts, offered a welcome or an encouraging word, cheered as they skied past or donated to the Wounded Warrior Project. Your participation and support made it possible.

If you are interested in participating next year please send an e-mail to Steve Shea stephenmshea@cs.com or Kim Barreda kimberley@chloemagazine.com
