Adeline Everin

| July 16, 2009 11:00 PM

Adeline Everin, 84, a longtime resident of Columbia Falls, passed away on July 3, 2009, at North Valley Hospital in Whitefish. She is survived by her husband, Basil; daughters, Diane Allen and Vicky Fisher; and grandsons, Brett Fischer and Clayton and Tyler Allen.

She was born in Lethbridge, Alberta, on Oct. 27, 1924, to Sara Blanche Routledge and John Beattie Murray. She attended school through grade 12 in Lethbridge, and was employed as a secretary to the manager of the local John Deere dealership.

Basil and Adeline were married in St. Augustine's Anglican Church in Lethbridge on Jan. 5, 1946.

Adeline was a loving mother and wife. She was socially active most of her life. She enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, hiking and traveling, but especially, a good laugh.

She and Basil enjoyed many local and overseas trips. She was an avid watcher of the news and especially like to argue politics.

Adeline received her naturalization papers on Oct. 6, 1949. As long as she lived in the U.S. she wanted to be a citizen; a good piece of her heart didn't leave Canada, of course.

Adeline was bedridden the last few months of her life. Because of this, she requested that the family hold a private memorial for her. She will be missed by her family and friends, but the memories of the many good times in the past will never be forgotten.
