The Columbia Falls Lions Club meets at 6:30 a.m. on the first and third Thursdays each month at the Back Room, in the same building as the Nite Owl Restaurant. Contact a Lions Club member for information about joining the organization.

Gentry River Ranch will host the Columbia Falls Area Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours on Thursday, June 11 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Featured will be music by local artist John Dunnigan.The Ranch is located at 62 Gentry Way. Go south on Highway 206 and turn right on Bad Rock Drive. Cross Columbia Falls Stage Road, where the road turns into Lewis Lane. Turn left on Gentry Way to arrive at the Business After Hours site.

Grab your gear and join First Baptist Church in Columbia Falls for exploration of the untamed wilderness at “Polar Extremes - All-Out for God” at Vacation Bible School June 15-19. Enjoy exciting Bible stories and fun activities while meeting Popsicle the Penguin and special guest Ben Friesen, Arctic explorer extraordinaire. The Teakettle Quilt Guild is offering a quilt class for youth June 15-19. The class is in the Columbia Falls High School home economics room, from 9 a.m. to noon each day. The cost is $15 and all supplies are provided by the Guild. Sign up for the class at the Columbia Falls Library.

Michelle Weltz and Heather Crilly will be featured speakers at the Columbia Falls Women’s Connection salad luncheon Wednesday, June 17 at 11:30 a.m. at the North Valley Hospital Community Center. Cost of the luncheon is $8.

Weltz, a Watkins consultant, will present “Eating Right With Watkins.” Crilly, from Billings, shares her struggles with obsessive-compulsive disorder. She is the author of “Living Victoriously With Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.” Those attending the luncheon are asked to bring “Coins for the Cure” to help the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life and receive a $1 off coupon good for the next luncheon.
