Alpine Theatre Project will present the Irish comedy ìStones In His Pocketsî at the Whitefish Middle School auditorium through June 28 with shows at 8 p.m. on Tuesday through Saturday and at 6 p.m. on Sundays. The story revolves around two blue-collar Irish men working as extras in a big-budget Hollywood movie being filmed in a small Irish town. The League of Glacier Symphony and Chorale invites the community to its ìMusic and Memoriesî tea party on Thursday, June 25, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Whitefish Golden Agers Community Center, 121 Second Street. The party is open to anyone in the community and will feature a performance by violinist Jan Lord, one of the original GSC orchestra players and who now sits on its board. She will tell stories about her early experiences with the symphony and its growth over the past 26 years. Flathead Electric Cooper?ative invites the public to the dedication of its landfill gas-powered electrical generating facility at the Flathead County landfill on Friday, June 26, at 10:30 a.m. This is the first such facility in Montana. The Humane Society of Northwest Montana is reducing adoption fees and hosting a ìCat Adoption Specialî through Saturday, June 27. Adult cat adoption fees will be reduced to $35 and include vaccinations, de-wormer, spay or neuter surgery, microchip identification and a free vet exam. Flathead Family Planning will participate in National HIV Testing Day by holding an HIV testing event on Monday, June 29. The event will include free and anonymous HIV testing, educational materials, and opportunities to discuss questions and concerns related to HIV transmission and risk.
