COMPTON, Calif. - Criminal charges have been dropped against Nate Dogg, who was accused of stalking and threatening his estranged wife.
California prosecutors on Wednesday dropped the charges against the 38-year-old rapper, whose real name is Nathaniel Dwayne Hale, saying the alleged victim has not contacted them.
Hale pleaded not guilty in July to two counts of making criminal threats and one count of stalking as well as a misdemeanor count of driving on a suspended license stemming from a prior DUI conviction.
The criminal threat charges stem from a pair of e-mails Hale sent his wife, while the stalking charge accused him of chasing the woman's car on a freeway.
