Rebecca Johns with New Directions Professional Coaching will present a Columbia Falls Area Chamber of Commerce “Brown Bag Series” program today (Thursday) in the community room at Freedom Bank. The event runs from noon to 1 p.m. Johns’ talk is entitled, “Managing Your Energy, Not Your Time: Work Life Balance.” Brown Bag Series sessions feature business professionals facilitating informative discussions. The River’s Edge Park Committee holds its regular meeting at 7 p.m. today (Thursday) in the Columbia Falls City Council chambers. Anyone interested in the development of the park is invited to attend.

The North Valley Senior Center will host a garage sale Friday and Saturday, May 15-16 at the center, located at 205 Nucleus Ave. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. There will be lots of items at the sale, which is a fund-raiser for the Senior Center.
azz Café is Friday, May 15 at 7 p.m. at Columbia Falls High School in the gymnasium foyer. It’s a café style environment complete with a dance floor. Refreshments are served. The admission cost is $5 for adults and $3 for students.
Saturday
St. Richard’s Catholic Church in Columbia Falls has announced its summer mass schedule. Mass will be held at 4:30 p.m. Saturdays at the Apgar Amphitheater in Glacier National Park from May 30 through Labor Day weekend. Communion services at Lake McDonald Lodge in the Park is Saturdays at 6 p.m. from June 6 to Aug. 22. Saturday mass at St. Richard’s Church is at 6:30 p.m., and Sunday mass moves up an hour to 9 a.m. Sundays through the summer. Masses are held at 8:30 a.m. Mondays at the Montana Veterans’ Home and Tuesdays at St. Richard’s.
