To the editor,
The Transboundary Flathead is the wildest low-elevation valley in southern British Columbia, and completely uninhabited. The absence of the 'Three P's' (phone, power, and pavement) enables really wild wildlife to continue to flourish as it once did across the entire country.
The Transboundary Flathead is fortuitously located at an ecological crossroads, with more than 1,000 plant species, the densest inland population of grizzlies, the best remaining habitat for bull and cutthroat trout, and one of the greatest species diversity of invertebrates in North America.
Let's work with our Canadian neighbors to secure this priceless resource.
