Whitefish honored Vets, too

Columbia Falls was not the only High School honoring our Vets on Veterans Day ("Veterans honored in C. Falls ceremony," A1, Nov. 12). Whitefish High School held its Annual Veteran's Day assembly on Nov. 11 at 1300 hours. The entire student body was present, as were faculty and local veterans, mostly VFW and American Legion Post members. Surprisingly, the veteran numbers were up about 50 percent over last year, with the majority of the increase coming from wheelchair-bound vets. The Chorus and Orchestra were superb, this year featuring, among their repertoire, the song "Mansions of the Lord." From a veteran's point of view, it was a heartfelt experience.
