Oppose parole for murderer

| November 26, 2009 11:00 PM

To the editor,

I am writing to object to any parole for J. R. Fletcher.

I understand his hearing is 30 November 2009.

Fletcher was sentenced to 100 years in Montana State Prison for murdering Roy Cooper in the winter of 1979. This occurred in the North Fork area between Polebridge and Columbia Falls.

Roy was an elderly, compassionate man. He befriended Fletcher and his two companions. They tortured and stabbed and killed Roy for no reason.

Letters may be sent to Board of Parole and Pardons, 1002 Hollenbeck Road, Deer Lodge MT 59722.
