| October 1, 2009 11:00 PM

Brooke Cady and Kayla DeWit both had seven kills for Columbia Falls. But the Kats had a tough time against Libby in Libby, losing in three straight games, 25-26, 25-13 and 25-18 on Sept. 24.

The team is now 1-4 overall and 1-3 in conference play. Coach Addy Hines said the girls continued to improve with each game, despite the loss.

She said the team needs to work on its service returns and is hoping to be in top form come the divisional tourney, when the games really count.

The Kats face Whitefish way Thursday, then travel to Frenchtown Saturday.

"If we're mentally ready to play, we should do well," she said.
