Apgar left out

To the editor,

I enjoyed Gladys Shays' article on rural schools ("Rural schools of past, today," Oct. 22, page A4). However, there was no mention of Apgar School, the only school in Glacier National Park. There were many articles and pictures as well as a regular news column for many years in the Hungry Horse News. I attended from 1950-1956. Teacher was Mrs. Leona Harrington. Mel Ruder was a frequent visitor. I'm sure many of your readers will recall reading "Apgar News."
