Carol Jean Rowe Hagen, 59, passed away peacefully at her home in Columbia Falls Dec. 9, 2010.

Carol was born Nov. 8, 1951 to Alvin J. (Bud) Rowe Sr. and Veronica (Red) Austin in Billings. They traveled all over Montana while her dad worked on the roads until they settled in Columbia Falls.

Carol graduated from Columbia Falls High School in 1970. She met and married the love of her life, Duane Hagen, April 10, 1970. They had been married 40 wonderful years. They had three children, Sam Hagen, Jennifer D. Davis and Kelci D. Warf.

Carol will be missed greatly by all who knew her. She was an avid fisherman and loved spending the summer days on Echo Lake teaching her grandchildren to fish. Carol was active in the bowling association, bowling for many years and coaching children. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed shopping and buying special gifts for each one. Carol had a great love and admiration for Elvis Presley and had a great collection of his memorabilia. Her biggest dream came true in 2006 when her daughter Kelci took her to Graceland.

She worked several years at Mike’s Conoco followed by Super 1 Foods. Recently she went to work for her nephew Patrick at Montana Bagels and Deli. She loved working for him and loved her job greatly. She was a favorite amongst her customers everywhere she worked. Carol’s home and heart was always open to everyone, family or friend. The Hagen home was the center of Carol’s large extended family, hosting many family functions every year. Her baked beans and cornflake bars were always a must.

Carol is survived by her three children, Sam Hagen (Shari) of Great Falls, Jennifer D. Davis (Michael) of Columbia Falls, and Kelci D. Warf (John) of Great Falls. Five wonderful grandchildren, Christian, Haley, Trinity, Emily, and Ashley; her two brothers, three sisters, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents.

A public viewing will be held Friday, Dec. 17, 2010 from 4 to 6 p.m. followed by a prayer service at Columbia Mortuary.
