Feb. 5 The Ball, at The Lodge at Whitefish Lake, with cocktails and silent auction at 6:30 p.m. and dinner at 7:30 p.m. and live music by Rob Quist and the Great Northern Band, tickets $40 available at Whitefish Chamber.

Feb. 5 - 7 Whitefish International Hockey Tournament at Stumptown Ice Den on Friday evening, Saturday all day and Sunday morning, for more information call 863-2477.

Feb. 7 Annual Furniture Race at Great Northern Veteran's Peace Park sledding hill from 1-4 p.m.

Feb. 6 Grand Parade in downtown Whitefish at 3 p.m., the Grand Marshal leads floats, animal groups, dancers, drill teams, royalty, and many more entries; to register pick up application at Chamber office.

Feb. 6 St Charles Pie Social at St Charles Catholic Church at 1 p.m.

Feb. 6 Yeti Snowskate Jam at Kiddie Park, Fifth Street and Central Avenue, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., warm up/practice for all competitors; 11 a.m. deadline for registration and competitor check in; 1-3 p.m. competition for under-10 and beginner categories; 4-4:30 p.m. warm up for Intermediate, Advanced and Expert competitors; 4:30-7:15 p.m. competition for Intermediate, Advanced and Expert categories; 7:15-8:00 p.m. open snowskate jam for all competitors; for more information call Willie Hobbs at 862-3303.

Feb. 6 Second annual Flathead Valley Winter Motorsports Event at Montana Raceway Park from 3-10 p.m., with snow drags, snow cross and more; riders $20 entry fee, open to riders 8 years and up; spectators $5; full food and beer concessions; for more information call 257-7223.

Feb. 6 Winter Carnival torchlight parade and fireworks display at Whitefish Mountain Resort starting at 7 p.m.; ski instructors and patrol ski down EdÕs Run.

Feb. 7 Rotary Pancake Breakfast at Moose Lodge from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., a royal feast for all witih eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy, pancakes, juice and coffee for $7.
