The Whitefish High School Drama Club will present “Just Another High School Play” in the Whitefish Middle School auditorium on Feb. 25-27 at 7 p.m. After the director abandons a play, The student assistant director and stage manager try to continue, but mayhem ensues because they and the other actors have missed every rehearsal and no one knows exactly what play to perform or who’s in charge. A variety of plays are spoofed, from “Hamlet” to “Little Women,” and the audience will also be asked to participate. Tickets are $8 adults and $4 senior/students available at the door.

Flathead Valley Community College Theatre will present Neil Simon’s “Rumors” in the FVCC Theatre inside the Arts and Technology Building on Feb. 25, 26 and 27 at 7 p.m. A cast of talented FVCC students, alumni and faculty have been paired with notable community theater performers. The play involves a large party in a posh apartment in suburban New York City. When the high society guests begin arriving in orderly pairs, they quickly discover that the servants are gone, the hostess is missing and the host — the deputy mayor of New York — has shot himself through the ear. Stumptown Art Studio, 145 Central Avenue, will celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday with two hours of crazy and creative art for children over-eight on Saturday, Feb. 27, from 10 a.m. to noon. Artist Sue Lawrence will help them make Dr. Seuss-like books, complete with funny rhymes and silly characters. Cost is $15. Glacier National Park rangers will lead a free four-mile long moonlight cross-country ski trip on Saturday, Feb. 27, beginning at 7 p.m. There is no group-size limit and no reservations will be taken. A fundraiser to provide support and relief to the earthquake stricken nation of Haiti will take place at the Whitefish Middle School auditorium on Sunday, Feb. 28, from 6-9 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by Rob Quist, John Dunnigan, Andre Floyd, Tim Torgerson and The Good Wood Trio, as well as nationally known singer/songwriter and Whitefish High School graduate Annette Strean. Richard Sims, director of the Montana Historical Society, in Helena, will speak on “The Literary Linderman” as part of the eighth annual John White Series of lectures at the Museum at Central School, 124 Second Avenue East, in Kalispell, on Sunday, Feb. 28, at 2:30 p.m. Frank Bird Linderman was a Montana pioneer, statesman and author of 20 books.
