Cats take second at home meet

The Columbia Falls swim team took second at its home meet last weekend. Bitterroot was first and Shelby was third.

Karyssa Nelson took first in several events in the 11-12 age group and broke two pool records in the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle.

Nelson also gained individual high point honors in her age group.

Colton Babcock, Katie Newton, Jon Riffey, Dalton Nelson, Danny Henjum and Tyler Langton had first place race finishes in the home pool under decidedly cool conditions.

Babcock was high point winner in the 9-10 boys age group.

Langton and Henjum were both second in 8 and under boys age group. Dalton Nelson was second in the 13-14 boys group and Riffey took third in the 15-plus age group.

The team travels to Shelby this weekend. Complete results:
