Quality water makes for quality recreation
As Montanans and visitors enjoy their summer on Flathead Lake and in the surrounding Valley, I just wanted to take a moment to thank Bigfork and other area communities for their valued partnership in improving and protecting Montana's water resources.
As state director for USDA Rural Development in Montana, we are proud of the work we've done with Bigfork, Lakeside and other communities on their water and wastewater projects.
Funds provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, President Obama and our Congressional delegation have helped to finance projects in Kalispell and Ronan as well.
We are thankful for the wonderful recreation opportunities we have here in Montana, and are proud to be partners with you in developing our public health resources and protecting our water and environment so we can enjoy it.

Save the library
You have seen the signs. You may have attended one of our PowerPoint informational presentations or heard one of our radio ads.
Last week you received a "please vote" postcard. All these to remind you that our Polson Library is in jeopardy.
Now is the time for us all to take up the challenge of preserving our wonderful library for future generations.
Just as a forward-thinking group helped establish our library here in 1912, we are asking you to invest in the future of our community by voting "yes' for the North Lake County Public Library District, and for the levy to support it.
You will receive a mail-in ballot soon after July 8. Please consider carefully what our library means to you and help save our library!
