Daoud all-class 400 meter champ

State track champion Anto Daoud posted the fastest 400-meter sprint in the state this season among all classes.

His time of 49.53 at the state Class A meet in Laurel last week was more than a tenth of a second faster than the best Class AA time, posted by Mike Nguyen, of Billings Skyview.

The senior also posted top-tier all-class times in the 200 and 100. His 22.45 in the 100 was seventh-best, and his 11.12 in the 100 was 14th-best.

The Bulldogs' long-relay team of Kalin Hale, Logan Harwood, Iaian Cameron and Daoud posted the fourth-fastest time in the state with a 3:26.3, behind Billings Skyview, Billings Senior and Billings West.

Whitefish also posted the eighth-fastest relay time in the 400 with a 44.02. The 400 team features Daniel Simmons, Derek Crittenden, Cameron and Daoud.
