Sheriff's race

Regarding the latest political stunt courtesy of Dave Kauffman and the handful of malcontent deputies at the Sheriff's Office, let us place the accusation of "misuse of public funds' where it really belongs, at the feet of Chuck Curry.

While undersheriff and commander of the SWAT team, Chuck Curry used taxpayers money to completely outfit his (then) girlfriend (a KRMC employee) from head to toe with SWAT team gear to the tune of several thousand dollars.

Curry's excuse for this expenditure was that he wanted her as a medic on the SWAT team. Her tenure as an untrained civilian on the SWAT team was not successful and very short-lived.

Is this the way Chuck Curry handles money he's in charge of? We need a sheriff we can trust with the keys to the coffers.

Mike Meehan has done a good job for Flathead County and he has proven he can be trusted. He will get my vote. I hope you will join me on June 8 and re-elect Mike Meehan as sheriff.
