The Whitefish of Chamber Commerce’s Gone Fishin’ social will take at Alliance Title and Escrow on Thursday, May 20, from 5-7 p.m. Food will be provided by The Cuisine Machine and John’s Angel Catering.

A celebration of Noni (Lenore) Simons’ 100th birthday will take place at Joan and Scott Sorenson’s house, 285 Glenwood Road, in Whitefish, on Thursday, May 20, from 1 to 4 p.m.

Flathead Fat Tires will host the premiere of “Follow Me,” a mountain bike film by the cinematographers responsible for such films as “Seasons,” “Roam” and “The Collective.” The show will take place at Grouse Mountain Lodge on Thursday, May 20, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the door, and refreshments will be served.

The eighth annual Small Business Hazardous Waste Collection Event will take place on Friday, May 21, at the Flathead County Landfill. A celebration of Glacier National Park’s centennial will be hosted by “Whitefish Review” and “Camas: The Nature of the West” at the Crush Wine Bar on Central Avenue on May 22 from 7 to 11 p.m., with readings by Alison Disque, Grace Brogan, Brian Schott, Beth Raboin and Douglas Chadwick, as well as a slide show and question and answer session with the audience. After readings by authors featured in both journals, Chadwick will read from his new book “The Wolverine Way.” “Camas” is a literary magazine produced by graduate students in the University of Montana’s Environmental Studies department. The Glacier Twins American Legion baseball team will hold their annual fundraiser auction at Coopers bar on Central Avenue on Saturday, May 22, with a barbecue at 6:30 p.m. and entertainment by John Dunnigan following the auction. Proceeds will support player costs for tourney and travel fees. Glacier Twins baseball provides baseball for youths 16-18 years old from Whitefish, Columbia Falls and Bigfork.
