June Richter

| October 13, 2010 1:43 PM

June Rose (McGlothlin) Richter was born in Roundup on June 6, 1918, and passed away of natural causes on Oct. 5, 2010, at Whitefish Care and Rehabilitation in Whitefish.

June attended school through the 11th grade in Kalispell and finished high school in Cut Bank. She met her husband Frank Richter in Cut Bank and they raised four children.

June operated June Rose Fashions in Cut Bank for many years and was known for her flashy dress and new styles. When she wasn’t at her store, she and her husband Frank spent countless hours at their ranch west of East Glacier. Those trips unfortunately ended with Frank’s death in 1995.

She is survived by her children Kent Richter and wife Marcia, of Cut Bank, Wanda Jo Grossman and husband Darrell, of Garfield, Wash., Alan Richter and wife Diane, of Whitefish, and Frank Richter and wife Annie, of Bozeman.

Memorial services were held Oct. 9, 2010, at the Whitted Funeral Chapel in Cut Bank. Burial followed at Crown Hill Cemetery in Cut Bank.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a local Hospice organization.
