LETTER: Don't ask, don't tell

Thank you for your thoughtful column on the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy that we have as law in our military today, George Ostrom.
With columns like yours and open discussion, it is more possible that we will eliminate this unfair practice. Mr. Ostrom’s first hand experience and accounts were very moving and honest.
Thank you for taking a stand and speaking out about your acceptance and understanding that regardless of who a person is sexually attracted to, it has nothing to do with how you do your work or perform in battle.
Since we live in the United States of America where all people are created equal, is it not time to make it so?
