Letters to the editor
Editor's note: August was the third anniversary of the death of Bigfork artist Elmer Sprunger. This poem was submitted in his remembrance.
We love you, Elmer
God must have been lonely when he called you home.
But you know we missed you even before you were gone.
Thank you for Jerry, you know we care.
We get to visit him at least twice a year.
All of the guys in our ol' geezer breakfast have all gone out West and left John and I here.
Your absences is like a spring without flowers,
Or a winter without snow white showers.
Elmer, we love you and think of you there
With our Lord and Savior and all the love you share.
The world is so lonely without your gentleness.
Wait for us, we will be with you in eternal bliss.
The Lord will come and you will be there,
One of those dressed in white in the air.
