Charles Edward LeRoy Taylor, Jr.

Chuck passed away peacefully Aug. 11, 2010 at home at the age of 65 after a brave battle with cancer.

He was born in Oakland, Calif., to Charles Edward LeRoy and Bessie Parker Taylor Hatfield on Jan. 21, 1945. He joined the U.S. Navy and after being honorably discharged he became a Master Diesel Mechanic.

He married Kathy Douhan in Tijuana Mexico Aug. 27, 1968. Chuck was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, fast cars and boats. He loved his horses, dogs, cats and goats. He was a T-ball coach for five years and was involved with 4-H for many years. He moved to Hungry Horse in 1991 and attended the Cowboy Church.

Chuck is survived by his wife Kathy of Hungry Horse; his daughter Nancy (Joe) Davis of Marion; son Charles III (Beth) of Minot, N.D.; daughter; Charlotte (Booby) Martin of Hamilton; son Chris Taylor of Wyoming; sister Eva Vincent of Clovis, Calif.; brother Norman Winters of Fresno, Calif.; seven grandchildren Sandra, Therese, Jackie, Melody, Samantha, Amanda and JT; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son PFC Nicholas Cook.

A family gathering will be held at a later date. Contributions may be made to Glacier Bank Brick for Nick fund or to the Kalispell Depot Veteran's Park. Arrangements by Columbia Mortuary.
