Two-story home on Echo Lake burns

A two-story house on Echo Cabin Loop was lost to a fire Thursday morning.

The Bigfork Volunteer Fire Department was paged out at roughly 9:45 a.m. and then Bigfork, Ferndale and Creston firefighters responded to the scene.

When they arrived, the house, located near the Echo Lake public fishing access, was already engulfed in flames, according to Bigfork Fire Capt. Katie Edwards.

No injuries were reported and no other structures were damaged. The cause of the fire is unknown and still under investigation.
