UPDATED: Robbery reported at First Interstate Bank

The Flathead County Sheriff's Office is investigating a robbery that took place at First Interstate Bank in Bigfork on Friday afternoon.

The area around the bank, located by Bigfork Drug, was marked off by yellow tape, and several sheriff's office vehicles were on site Friday evening. The robbery was reported shortly before 4:30 p.m.

According to a release from the sheriff's office, an unknown male entered the bank and demanded cash from a teller. He then fled from the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as being of medium build, possibly 5'7" or 5'9" and wearing blue Carhartt jeans, a black jacket, and a black motorcycle helmet with duct tape on the left side and on the front above the visor.
