Two certified nursing assistants at Whitefish Care and  Rehabilitation Center were recently honored by the National Association of Health Care Assistants.

Dawn Bizik and Sarah Heuscher were selected from more than 34,000 members nationwide and were recognized at its16th annual Key to Quality awards ceremony held in Tulsa, Okla.

Bizik earned the Quality Care Provider award and Heuscher was awarded Preceptor of the Year and Best Attitude Award.

Bizik has served as a CNA at WhiteFish since 1996 years and Heuscher has worked as a CNA since 2007. Heuscher also represented CNAs nationwide in D.C. June 22-24 at a rally to help inform legislators of the importance of Medicare and Medicaid funding.

“I’m so proud of the dedication and commitment that caregivers like Sarah and Michelle display on a daily basis,” said Care and Rehab administrator Nathan Purdy. “They are both very deserving of this recognition.”
