Robert Jeffries

Robert Jay Jeffries, 44, of Columbia Falls, died Aug. 13, 2011, at his home of heart and lung failure. 

Robert was born Sept. 5, 1966, to Fred Eugene (Gene) Jeffries and Sandie Frey Jeffries in Huntsville, Ala., where Gene was serving in the Army.

Robert attended school in Laurel and graduated from high school in Fromberg. He also attended Trinity Bible College in Ellendale, N.D.

Jewelry making, coin collecting and Facebook were among Robert's favorite things to do. He had many treasured friends on Facebook, including a very special friend, Jenny Duge, of Arizona.

Robert moved in with his grandmother Betty Jeffries, and they were able to lookout for each other for many years. Robert had brain surgery and received his disability as a result. Robert was a current member of The Moose Club and the Northwest Montana Gold Prospectors Club.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Walt Frey and Charlie Jeffries; father Gene Jeffries; and cousins Kimberly Lance and C.B. Jeffries.

He is survived by his grandmothers Betty Jeffries, of Columbia Falls, and Fern Frey; mother Sandie Jasperson; brother Mark Jeffries and wife Sharon; sisters Sue Ann Jeffries and Michelle Jasperson; nieces and nephews Tara and Tyler Jeffries, Danica and Dakota Jeffries, and Madisyn Jasperson, all of Missoula; aunts Mary Lance and husband Ric and Shirley Hegel and husband John, of Columbia Falls; uncles Charles Jeffries and Andy Jeffries, of Whitefish; cousins Rikki Perkins and husband John and Conni Weber and husband Curt; six second cousins in Columbia Falls; and out-of-town cousins Brandy Jeffries, of San Bernadino, Calif., Pamela Pilcher, of Portland, Ore., and Heather Jeffries, of Billings.

Private services were held at Columbia Mortuary. Condolences may be sent care of Mary Lance, 550 Neighborly Way, Columbia Falls MT 59912. Memorials may be sent to a charity of choice.
