Toastmasters

Tom Blakney, of Columbia Falls, won the humorous speech contest at the Toastmasters Area Level Speech contest recently held in Columbia Falls. His speech, "Special Shampoo," took a look at hair-growing products. He qualified to move on to a divisional contest at Quinn's Resort, in Paradise, on Oct. 8. Melody Domph, of Columbia Falls, also competed in the Columbia Falls event.

Free meals

Free hot and delicious meals will be served by the Columbia Falls Community Kitchen in the basement of St. Richard's Catholic Church from Wednesday through Saturday, Dec. 28-31, beginning at 6 p.m.
