Obituary policy

Starting Feb. 1, the Whitefish Pilot will charge for running obituaries in the newspaper. Most weekly papers in Montana charge for running obituaries.

The charge will be $25 for the first five column inches and $5 per column inch after that. The actual charge will be calculated after the newspaper is printed.

Obituaries can be brought into the Pilot office at 312 Second St. East; mailed to Whitefish Pilot, P.O. Box 488, Whitefish MT 59937; faxed to 862-3636; or e-mailed to editor@whitefishpilot.com.

Deadline is noon on Mondays of the week of publication.
