A string of thefts in various Whitefish

stolen from vehicles. Whitefish Police Chief Bill Dial says they

have no leads on a suspect as of presstime.

The initial report came from Columbia

Avenue where a briefcase and laptop computer were stolen out of a

pickup. The window of the vehicle was found smashed out early in

the morning.

Similar thefts on June 29 were reported

form Willow Brook Close, East 3rd Street and Park Avenue.

On Thursday, two bicycles were stolen

from Wisconsin Avenue, an iPod Touch was stolen from Idaho Avenue

and a car stereo was taken from a vehicle parked on Columbia

Avenue.

Dial reminds Whitefish residents to

lock their vehicles and keep valuables out of sight.
