Changes underway at the Eagle

The Bigfork Eagle will undergo a

changing of the guard this week.

Effective May 4, Jordan Dawson will

assume the position of managing editor of both the Bigfork Eagle

and West Shore News. Dawson has served for the past three years as

the Eagle’s sports and outdoors reporter.

“This is a very exciting opportunity,”

Dawson said. “I am passionate about being a part of this community

and I am happy to get to work here in a larger capacity. I adore

this town, and the people in it, and feel very fortunate to get to

do the type of work I love in a place that I am so thrilled to live

in.”

She will replace outgoing managing

editor Jasmine Linabary, who is relocating to Northern California

to attend graduate school. Her husband, Nate Chute, currently a

photojournalist for the Daily Inter Lake, will be taking a

photography job at a newspaper in Marysville, Calif.

“It’s been an incredible experience to

work in such a beautiful place with a community that is so

supportive and encouraging,” Linabary said. “I’ve been so thankful

for my time here. I’m sad to leave, even for this opportunity, but

I know that Jordan will do a great job in my place.”

The Eagle’s new reporter will be Brooke

Andrus, who will be covering news and entertainment for the

newspaper.

Andrus, a 2006 alumna of Bigfork High

School, recently graduated from the University of Montana.

Adding to the changes, Bigfork resident

Beth Ellison joined the Eagle as the ad sales representative

earlier this month.
