Lorraine Olson

Lorraine Lois Olson, 91, passed away

peacefully on Oct. 22, 2011 at her home in Whitefish.

She was born Feb. 16, 1920 to Elizabeth

and Harold De Lapp in Porterville, Calif. She grew up in the San

Jose area and was married to Thomas Olson of Venice Beach on Aug.

30, 1944.

Lorraine enjoyed being a stay-at-home

mother. She was active in her community of Pacific Palisades

Calif., where she raised her daughter Marie, and volunteered as

co-leader of the Brownies and Girl Scouts.

She was preceded in death by her

husband in 1973.

Lorraine moved to Whitefish to be near

her family in 1999. She is survived by her daughter, Marie

Brittsan, and son-in-law Brad Brittsan; grandchildren, Meadow

Brittsan Reese, Robin Brittsan Reese, Benjaman Brittsan, Melody

Brittsan Ratlif and Zachary Brittsan. She also has seven

great-grandchildren who all reside in the Flathead Valley.

She will be missed by many.

Memorial services will be held at

Headwaters Church at 5600 U.S. 93 South at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov.

5.
