Lady Dogs blast Bigfork, Libby

The Lady Bulldogs flexed their strength

in the conference last week. Whitefish (3-2, 2-0) dominated Bigfork

7-0 and Libby 10-0 to kick off their Northern A schedule.

At home against Bigfork, Megan Danczyk

started the scoring in the 12th minute when she lobbed a shot over

the keeper’s head. She scored again two minutes later on a shot

from the top of the box.

Kayla Simmes added one more in the half

on a beautiful floater from 25 yards out.

Caroline Carbo, Natalie Gayner and Anna

Carpenter each scored in the second half.

At Libby it was all Whitefish

again.

Simmes, Danczyk and Madison Grady each

scored in the first 12 minutes to set the tone. The Lady Bulldogs

posted six goals in the first half and four in the second,

including a pair from Carbo.

“We’re finishing our chances and

scoring from all across the field,” Whitefish coach Wendy Farrens

said. “We’re feeling really good right now.

The Lady Dogs have outscored their

oppenents 32-11 this season.
