| December 19, 2012 8:02 AM

On Dec. 8, 2012, the world lost a remarkable man, Basil V. Everin, 92. His energy and love for life was endless.

Always with a smile on his face and a friend to all who met him, Basil lived a full and contented life. He loved music, sunshine and adventure. Traveling, golf, skiing, boating and hiking were among his many passions. Time spent with his family and friends were the highlights of his life.

He passed away peacefully at home in Denver, Colo., where he spent the past three years of his life to be near his family. Born in Kalispell in 1920, Basil lived, worked and raised his family in Columbia Falls.

He leaves behind daughters Diane and Vickye, grandsons Brett, Clayton and Tyler, and great grandchildren Logan and Liv, all of Denver.

“Farewell, best friend. You are loved and will be greatly missed. The world was blessed the day you entered it, and better for the love you leave behind.”
