Vicious dogs
I would like to express my thanks to you for your good reporting on the city council's review of the vicious dog ordinance.
I was the third person at the Feb. 6 meeting to give a statement to the council on the subject of that ordinance. Our household lost a beloved cat who had been a part of the family for 13 years to the same dog owned by Dan Petersen involved in the other citizens' incidents.
I really appreciate you keeping this issue in the public's awareness. Hopefully, the attention will prevent problems in our community which potentially could result in a person being seriously injured by a vicious animal
If our city council and police department are not there to protect law-abiding citizens and their pets on their own property, then what is the purpose of having civic organizations?
I hope you will be able to follow this story and report on any future decisions made by our council in regard to this ordinance.
