Marjorie Daniels

Marjorie Rose Blood Cheff Daniels, 77, joined our Heavenly Father on Dec. 27, 2011.

She was born in Columbia Falls on Oct. 13, 1934, the daughter of Leslie and Hazel (Dunn) Blood. 

Her true adventure began when, at age 16, she met a handsome iron worker, Ray Cheff, employed at the Hungry Horse Dam. They were married in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, on Oct. 6, 1951.

Ray's career took them to many different places, from Arizona to Michigan. Marge created a welcoming home wherever they lived. Over the course of 12 years, four children were added to the Cheff family adventure, Raymond, Nadine, Guy and Scott.

Marge was widowed in 1982 when Ray was killed in a logging accident. She remained in Columbia Falls. In January 1998, she married the love of her golden years, Richard Daniels.

Marge was the ultimate homemaker long before Martha Stewart came on the scene. She took great pride in her home, garden and yard, which were always immaculate. She had a sharp wit and stayed informed on current events. She liked nothing more than debating the issues of the day with family and friends.

Marge was an active member of St. Richard's Catholic Church. She became a member of the Birdwoman Falls Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution after researching her ancestry in New England.

Marge was preceded in death by her son Guy Anthony; first husband Ray Cheff; parents Hazel and Leslie Blood; and brother and sister-in law Lloyd and Pat Blood.

She leaves behind husband Richard Daniels, of Columbia Falls; son Raymond (Rose) Cheff, of Challis, Idaho; daughter Nadine Cheff, of Everett, Wash.; son Scott Cheff and wife Kim, of Columbia Falls and niece Crystal (BJ) Hader, of Columbia Falls; grandchildren Chad, Bethany, Christopher and Kayleigh Cheff and Scot and Coty Warner; great grandchildren Lance Cheff, Morgan Cheff-Nichols; Keaton, Kandon, Madison Cheff, Kiya and Skyler Warner and Genesis and Century Warner.

A funeral Mass was held Dec. 30, 2011, in St. Richard's Catholic Church.
