Harriet Paris

Harriet McCord Paris, 91, died Feb. 26, 2012, surrounded by her family at Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

She was born to John Merle and Ruby McCord in Farmer City, Ill., on Sept. 26, 1920, and grew up in Los Angeles. She attended Montana State University-Bozeman in 1938, where she met her future husband, Hugh Paris. In 1974, Hugh and Harriet purchased Glacier View Golf Course.

She is survived by her daughter Susanna Eaton and husband Ray, of Kalispell, son Thomas Paris and wife Deborah, of Cheney, Wash., daughter Heather Cleary and husband Joe, of Richland, Wash., and son Hugh Paris Jr., and wife Joyce, of Kalispell; 10 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

A private family gathering for inurnment is planned for later this summer.
