Musical comedy

The Columbia Falls High School Drama Club will perform the musical romp “When in Rome.” Performances will take place in the high school’s Little Theater on March 16 and 17 with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and performances starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $7 adults and $5 students and seniors, available at the high school office, at the door and at Glacier Wallflower.

Family reading night

The Ruder Elementary School Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) will present a free family reading night on Friday, March 16, from 6-8 p.m. Students and their families are encouraged to participate in the different activities. Refreshments will be served and prizes will be given away.

Voter registration

The Flathead County Election Department will handle voter registration and issue absentee ballots from April 1 through June 30 in the County Fair Kitchen Building at the Flathead County Fairgrounds.

TOPS talk

Columbia Falls Women’s Connection, affiliated with Stonecroft Ministries, will hold their luncheon at Tea Kettle Community Hall, 235 Nucleus Avenue, on Wednesday, March 21, at 11:30 a.m. Deb Pier from Hot Springs will talk about Take Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS). Open house

The Columbia Falls Toastmasters Club will hold an open house in the downstairs conference room at Freedom Bank, in Columbia Falls, on Tuesday, March 20, from noon to 1 p.m. Lunch will be provided and guests will be introduced to the concepts and objectives of Toastmasters. The Columbia Falls club meets on the first, third and fifth Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m. For more information, call 250-3795.

Democrat dinner

Sen. Jon Tester will be the featured speaker at the 2012 Spring Dinner at The Lodge At Whitefish Lake on Saturday, April 14. Hosted by the Flathead Democratic Party and the Flathead Democratic Women, the event will begin with a candidate forum at 4:30 p.m., a social hour at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. Cost is $40 in advance and $50 at the door. Tickets are available by calling 752-0298.

Book sale

The American Association of University Women is now accepting used books for their book sale at the Kalispell Center Mall on April 13, 14 and 15. Donation barrels are located in Columbia Falls at Smith’s Food and Drug. For more information, call Karen at 758-4745 or Barb at 249-2196.
