Recycling for cancer

Pacific Steel & Recycling in Kalispell and Bigfork’s Recycle for Relay are working together to cure cancer and keep our planet green. Aluminum cans, scrap metal, copper, brass and tin can be taken to their facility any time for recycling and payment can be designated to the Bigfork Relay Account.

Rocky Mountain Bank has volunteered to be the drop-off point for aluminum cans only. All cans collected between now and April 19 will be taken in on Earth Day when payment amounts are doubled. They ask that cans be left in the gated area behind Rocky Mountain Bank.

Upcoming relay events include Bigfork’s Painting the Town Purple, which is scheduled to begin May 1 and continue until Bigfork’s Relay for Life on July 20-21.

Bigfork’s next Relay for Life committee meeting is April 9 at 5 p.m. at the Tall Pine Lounge. Volunteers are always needed and there are many ways to help. Janine Beaubien, this years’ event chair, can be reached at 871-8946 or Janine426@hotmail.com.
