Cat Dog Smoker

The Glacier Twins will host the annual Cat-Dog Smoker at Memorial Park, in Whitefish, on Monday, June 4, beginning at 7 p.m. The boxing event pits high school boys and girls from Whitefish against Columbia Falls with 12 to 15 bouts of three one-minute rounds. General admission tickets are $10, ringside tickets are $20. The event is a fundraiser for the Glacier Twins American Legion Baseball program. Race is fundraiser

Run Flathead will hold its first annual Herron Half Marathon and 10K Race on Saturday, June 9. showcasing new and existing trails in the Herron Park complex. The half marathon will cover 13 miles of primarily single-track trails in three loops. The 10K race will include the initial loop of the half marathon route. Walkers are allowed for the 10K race; however, a minimum cutoff time is set for the half marathon. Proceeds will go to the Foys to Blacktail Trails nonprofit to secure permanent public access to lands between Herron Park and Blacktail Mountain.
