The Bulldogs survived another tough non-conference test Friday after edging a scrappy Browning team with a last-minute score. Whitefish quarterback Luke May connected with Shane Marcial on a 31-yard touchdown pass with just over a minute on the clock as the Bulldogs won at Browning 30-25.

Whitefish improved to 2-1 overall with the victory.

May continued to impress as a freshman signal-caller. He tossed three touchdowns passes, inlcuding a 70 yarder to Logan Harwood for the first score of the game. Harwood brought in another pass in the fourth quarter to give Whitefish a 24-19 lead.

Browning countered in the fourth on a 19-yard TD pass to make it 25-24 before the Bulldogs’ game-winning score.

Senior running back Marcial ran for a pair of scores in the first half. He finished with 202 yards on 19 carries. Marcial leads the state in scoring with 46 points.

May was 10-for-13 passing for 233 yards.

Harwood tallied 121 yards on four catches. He has tallied 30 points for Whitefish this season.
