Edna Minehan

Edna F. Minehan, 83, passed away peacefully at home in Columbia Falls on April 9, 2013, under the hospice care of her daughter Kathy Wright. A survivor of both breast cancer and lymphoma, she lost her battle with leukemia.

Edna was born April 29, 1929, in St. Paul, Minn., the fifth of six children born to Bernard and Louise Husnik. She graduated from our Lady of Good Counsel in Mankato, Minn., and received her R.N. degree from St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

She is survived by her daughters Kathy Wright and husband Steve, of Columbia Falls, and Ellen Speranza and husband Dominick, of Helena; sons David Minehan and wife Peg, of Issaquah, Wash., and Kiernan Minehan and husband Tracy, of La Crescent, Minn; sisters Eloise Kaliher, of New Hope, Minn., and Lois Buelow, of St. Cloud, Minn.; 18 grandchildren; and two great grandsons.

Funeral services will take place at St. Richard’s Catholic Church in Columbia Falls on Saturday, April 13, at 11 a.m.
