Support our school district

As President of the Whitefish Community Foundation, I am extremely proud of the relationship that the Foundation has with our school district.

With funding being cut at every turn, it makes our job even more critical in terms of helping out with community grants to our schools.

I hope you’ve been reading the Pilot opinion page articles submitted by Kate Orozco, superintendent of our school district. She masterfully describes the efforts of our teachers to redesign lessons and use teaching models that focus on thinking strategies so students actually understand procedures rather than just regurgitating them.

As parents, we have an obligation to support our school district in these efforts. And just imagine what will happen when our new school is completed!

Congratulations to Kate for pushing our kids in the right direction.
