The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for The Loop area of the Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier Park. The advisory is in effect until late Friday morning.

Heavy rain this evening has the potential to cause rock and debris flows onto the Sun Road, the warning states.

A prolonged period of moderate to heavy rain is predicted to hit the area Thursday evening and last until late Friday morning. A band of heavy rain could form across Northwest Montana that has the potential to drop between 1-2 inches of rain.
