Dragon Boats returning to the Flathead
The second annual Montana Dragon Boat Festival will take place on Flathead Lake on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 7-8.
Held at the Flathead Lake Lodge on the northeast shore of Flathead Lake, the festival has quickly become one of this region’s most anticipated signature events.
A total of 95 teams, each with 22 members, have registered to compete in this year’s festival, including from Nevada, Oregon, Wisconsin, Washington, Alberta and British Columbia.
Races will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free, and food and beverage vendors will be on site. Parking costs $10 per car at the corner of Highway 82 and Highway 35 in Bigfork, including a shuttle pass good for the entire weekend.
