Operation Christmas Child serves 4,774 children worldwide
This year’s Operation Christmas Child will provide boxes for 4,774 children worldwide.
The boxes will go to children in impoverished and disaster-stricken areas who have never received a gift before.
“These boxes are the beginning of a very powerful ripple that ultimately changes lives in a huge way,” said Bigfork organizer Jennifer Bach. “These boxes open the door to create relationships with the families to bring in medical, educational and community support.”
She notes that the bank competition in Bigfork was a huge success. The Bigfork community combined to purchase and pack a total of 103 boxes.
Rocky Mountain Bank won the competition with 37 boxes.
Bach thanks them along with other participating banks, Flathead, Glacier and First Interstate. Bigfork Drug also played a part in the success by having an aisle set aside for gifts to put in the boxes.
