Esther Green

Esther (Tyke) Lucille Costich Aubert Green, 91, died Dec. 4, 2013, at her home in Overton, Nev. Tyke was born April 15, 1922 in Eureka to Frank and Loretta Costich.

She married George Aubert, of Browning, on July 23, 1945. They moved to Columbia Falls in 1948, where George taught high school until 1972. George passed away Dec. 18, 1975. They raised their family out on Highway 40 and ran a family business.

Tyke met Larry Green in Whitefish and they married on July 20, 1978. She was part owner of the Hanging Tree Bar. They also ran a restaurant called Larry and Tyke’s in Whitefish before retiring to Overton.

She was preceded in death by sister Frances Marie Costich, parents Frank and Loretta, brother Tommy, husband George and son Jon Aubert.

She is survived by her adoring husband Larry Green, of Overton, Nev.; her daughters Lyndell Mace and husband Cyrus, of Overton, Lori Radabah and husband Carl, of Coram, Sylvia Huguley and husband Gary, of Swan Lake, and Teri Johnson and husband Mike, of Happy Valley; daughter-in-law Jane Aubert, of Mesa, Ariz.; 12 grandkids; and 14 great grandkids.

“We’ll miss hearing about their little adventures to Mesquite and her giggling when she’d win.”

A memorial service will be held next summer.
