Viking and Vals send-off rally
There will be a bus decorating and send-off rally for the Bigfork High School girls basketball team on Wednesday at 5 p.m. at the BHS parking lot as the Vals head for the district tournament in Kalispell. The Vikings’ send-off will be on Thursday at 9 a.m.
Bring noisemakers, pompoms, and crayon-type window chalk.
Bigfork fans attending the tournament are encouraged to wear royal blue to the games.
Bigfork Area Democrats

Pachyderm Club Installation of Officers
The Glacier Pachyderm Club’s annual installation of officers is scheduled for today, Feb. 20 at the Hilton Garden Inn at 6 p.m. Dr. Albert Olszewski, recent candidate for lieutenant governor, will speak about Obamacare and the future of healthcare in the U.S. under the provisions of this law.
Tickets to the installation of officers and Dr. Olszewski’s address can be obtained by contacting Turner Askew at 250-3330. All are welcome to attend.
The club will meet on Friday at the Hilton Garden Inn on the South end of Kalispell, from noon to 1 p.m.
Bill Gallagher, member of the Montana Public Service Commission and resident of Helena will address the continuing and emerging issues facing the PSC.

Tourism and Brand Workshop
Free tourism and brand workshops will be held at Marina Cay on Thursday, Feb. 28, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and at the Kwataqnuk Resort in Polson on March 1 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
These free workshops are an outreach effort to assist businesses in attracting and retain visitors to their area.
Stitch Out
A “stitch out” for knitters and crocheters to make scarves for Hugs for Hope will be held on Friday, March 1, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church in Bigfork. Call 837-4387 for details.
