Whitefish Mountain Resort recently launched a new smartphone app that is available on Android and Apple devices.

The app, developed by resort technology guru Parker Beeson, puts essential information at the fingertips of skiers and snowboarders whether they’re on the slopes or the couch at home.

“The app features the pages most looked at on our website,” resort spokeswoman Riley Polumbus said. “It has easy access to our webcams and snow reports, which are the top two pages on our site outside of the homepage.”

Launching the app takes you to the daily snow report. Buttons for the webcams, weather and events are an easy tap away. Under the “more” tab are options to explore lodging specials, trail maps, the SNOW bus schedule and more.

Whitefish Mountain was recently named No. 6 in digital presence by a Ski magazine reader survey. This just adds to their new technology offerings, Polumbus said.

Having it built in-house was a huge advantage, she said.

“We’re the ones who are in tune with our skiers and what their needs are,” Polumbus said.
