Tamarack Grief Resource Center’s annual fundraising dinner and paddle auction is scheduled for Jan. 31 at the Lodge at Whitefish Lake.

The gala event kicks off at 6 p.m. with music and a no-host bar, followed by dinner at 7 p.m. The paddle auction starts at 7:45 p.m.

Local artists Ginny Ogle, Jeffrey Funk, John Rawlings, Susan Guthrie, Dave Smith, Matt Springer, Mark King, Dawn Duane and visiting artist and scholar Karl Leonard have created original art on paddles. The paddles are auctioned, and proceeds support Tamarack Grief Resource Center.

Some proceeds benefit A Camp to Remember, the center’s summer grief camp for children. The camp mixes traditional summer camp activities with opportunities for honoring and remembering deceased loved ones.

The fundraiser will also help Tamarack expand its programs in the Flathead Valley and western Montana.

Tamarack Grief Resource Center’s goal is to strengthen and honor children, teenagers, adults and families throughout their journey with grief. The center is dedicated to providing emotional and educational support.

Tickets to the fundraising dinner and auction are $75 each, or $1,000 for a sponsor table of eight. Tickets are available online at www.tamarackgriefresourcecenter.org; at Wheeler Jewelry, 139 Main St., Kalispell; or by calling Barb Myers at (406) 240-2196 or Kris Carlson at 261-3160.

For more information about Tamarack Grief Resource Center’s work in the Flathead Valley, call 261-0724.
